Changing the VAT Method

The VAT method can only be changed if no postings have been recorded in the corresponding VAT period.

Once postings exist in a VAT period, there are only two options:

  • Delete all bookings of the affected period. Only then can the VAT method be changed in the settings.
  • Delete the entire company (instructions: https://atlanto.ch/en/faqs/delete-account/). Afterwards, click on the company name at the top left and create a new company via “+ Add”.

Therefore, it is important to choose the correct VAT method right from the beginning.
